Are you in need of laughter during this time of social distancing?

Dad’s Garage has the answer.

The improv theater has decided to livestream its comedy routines.

In a Zoom interview, “City Lights’” host Lois Reitzes talked with artistic director Jon Carr and communications director Matt Terrell about the organization’s new virtual shows.

Carr talked about how Dad’s proceeded when national guidelines recommended people not gather in groups of more than 10.

“I think like a lot of other theaters, initially we had a lot of shock and worry. But I think one of the cool things about our organization is that we don’t live in the shock and worry stage for very long. For us, almost immediately, we started looking at what resources we had to keep things going, not only for the public but also for our artists,” said Carr.

Their Big Stupid Silent Auction and Fundraiser is still going on through Saturday evening. You can see their new livestream shows at Twitch.TV/DadsGarageATL
