Community Foundation For Greater Atlanta Launches Response And Recovery Fund

For many years, the Community Foundation For Greater Atlanta has been providing funds to small and mid-sized arts organizations. “City Lights’” host Lois Reitzes spoke via Zoom with the interim vice president Lita Pardi.

Pardi outlined what the foundation is doing now to help these arts organizations that are shuttered due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have the Metropolitan Arts Fund, which we created over 20 years ago. The program is designed to support organizations that have programs under 2 million. In light of this public health crisis, we know that a lot of arts organizations are suffering. They’ve had to shutter performances and close their doors like everyone else. What we’re doing with the arts fund this year is making those general operating support grants available to organizations who have been adversely impacted by the pandemic and who are looking at how they can adapt in this new reality that is really unclear,” said Pardi.
