An Atlanta-based fintech company is helping gig and hourly workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adam Roseman, who is the co-founder and CEO of Steady, says he and his team created the company to help people find jobs, track spending and increase their income — to build a better financial future.

Through the Steady app, members can search for jobs across multiple industries, depending on their geographical location.

On a Friday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Roseman told host Rose Scott that Steady is also able to track its members’ spending patterns through its app. He says Steady used that data to identify members who lost income due to the COVID-19 pandemic and provided them with cash grants.

“We identified those that had that income loss and started to provided them with cash disbursements, generally much quicker than they were receiving unemployment,” Roseman explains.
