Kari Knotts enjoys playing the game of volleyball. At 6 feet 3 inches tall, the ninth-grade honor roll student at The Lovett School is a four-time national champion.

Knotts was recently selected for Team USA’s Under-19 volleyball division — an elite group on the direct pipeline to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California.

Kari and her mother, Kiesa Knotts, were guests on Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look.” They spoke with show host Rose Scott about Kari’s passion for volleyball, her training and why she’s grateful to play a sport that continues to afford her with opportunities.
