Atlanta City Council President Doug Shipman says the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) needs to prioritize customer service.

He says people depend on MARTA to get around town— and for months and years—Georgia’s largest transportation agency has failed to deliver basic services.

Last week, MARTA CEO Collie Greenwood stepped down, citing concerns about his immigration status and “personal matters.” For now, Chief Customer Experience Officer Rhonda Allen is the acting CEO and general manager.
