Gwinnett County Public Schools Administrator Talks About District’s Return To Learning Plan

An administrator for Georgia’s largest school district says the district’s return to learning plan is going exceptionally well.
Steve Flynt, who serves as Gwinnett County Public Schools Associate Superintendent for School Improvement and Operations, says students in the district began the 2020 fall semester virtually. And, then based on their parent’s selection, students slowly and safely returned to in-person instruction or continued learning digitally.
On Friday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Flynt spoke with show host Rose Scott about how administrators are continuing to learn from what’s working and what’s not working. He also shares how the district is monitoring COVID-19 cases, tackling connectivity issues and planning for the spring semester.
