State House Minority Leader Bob Trammell On Defending Congressional District 132

Georgia House Minority Leader Bob Trammell says the GOP is out to buy his seat.

It’s no secret a national GOP group has set out to unseat Georgia House Minority Leader Bob Trammell come Nov. 3.

The Republican State Leadership Committee named him its No. 1 target, and it put up $1 million to get him out of office.

Just days before the general election, Trammell responded by saying that his seat is not up for sale.

Trammell stopped by WABE’s “Morning Edition” and spoke to host Lisa Rayam.

He said the GOP wants to buy his seat. “They want a representative that will be for the special interest and against the people of the 132nd District.

Trammell said, “I think voters understand and want a legislator who is going to go to Atlanta and make the type of decisions that are important and significant for them and their families.”

Trammell is up for re-election. His opponent is Republican David Jenkins.
