New Georgia Power President Discusses Pandemic Response, Corporate Social Responsibility

Chris Womack was recently named the president of Georgia Power. He joined “Closer Look” to discuss several topics, including how the utility company operated during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also defined his leadership style and shared his views on corporate social justice.

The newest leader of Georgia Power says the COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with protests following the police killings of unarmed Black people, has made 2020 a difficult and challenging year.

“Kind of the worst of times, but I think we are learning to learn from it and trying to be better from it, and I am looking forward to a bright future,” said Chris Womack, president of Georgia Power.

The new leader of the Atlanta-based company was a guest on Monday’s edition of “Closer Look.”
