Canada’s acting Consul General of the Southeast Louise Blais, who is based in Atlanta, says the pandemic has disrupted the global supply chain and affected Canadian families and individuals in Canada and the U.S.
“Whether it was the disease itself or its economic impact, everyone has been affected,” said Blais. “So as we now slowly come out of this very difficult year, I think it’s very important to make sure that we come out of it with a global mindset that we lift everyone out of this crisis, that we leave no one behind.”
Blais, a guest on Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” explained to show host Rose Scott how the Canadian consulate has been helping Canadians living in the Southeast region amid the global health crisis while the border between the U.S. and Canada remains closed.
