Dr. Bernice A. King, the daughter of civil rights leader Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., condemned the Trump administration’s policies and political polarization during the annual commemorative service honoring her father’s legacy.

Inside a packed Ebenezer Baptist Church, directly across the street from where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was once pastor, his youngest daughter, Bernice, spoke out against the Trump administration and called the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE officer in Minneapolis a “spiritual alarm.”

“As we confront the killing of good, we must also confront the killing of truth. The recent claim by President Trump that the 1964 Civil Rights Act harmed white Americans is just wrong, and it’s dangerous,” said King.
