Roots Down Working To Transform Unused Land Into Urban Gardens
The founder and CEO of a DeKalb-based organization that’s working to build equitable and greener communities says food can be grown everywhere.
That’s the concept that Jamie Rosenthal, the creator Roots Down, says he’s trying to educate the world about on Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look.”
He talked with show host Rose Scott about his organization is working with DeKalb County government officials to advocate for more green spaces, create green jobs and transform unused land into food gardens.
“We want to shift the paradigm and focus on a world that’s abundant in nature, and we want to have landscapes that show this abundance that has food growing where they should be,” explained Rosenthal.
