Emerge is a national organization that recruits and trains Democratic women to run for office – Maggie Chambers is executive director of the Georgia chapter. The group recently held a boot camp for prospective candidates, of which Georgia Congresswoman Lucy McBath and state Sen. Jen Jordan are both alumna.
