The high-profile race for Marjorie Taylor Greene’s 14th Congressional District seat wasn’t the only election on Tuesday. All three Georgia legislative special elections will head to an April 7 runoff, according to unofficial results.

A runoff election is triggered in Georgia when no candidate exceeds 50% of the vote, leaving the top two vote-getters standing.

These three special elections are to fill the seats for the rest of the year. None of the candidates will serve during the current legislative session, which ends April 2. There will be separate May primaries and November general elections to fill the seats starting in January 2027.
