DECATUR, Ga. — The city of Decatur is working with CompostNow to launch a curbside residential composting program. It will begin on April 21.
The city’s program is subscription-based, costing $19 per month. Participating households will receive a seven-gallon curbside compost collection bin that will be picked up weekly.
Decatur had considered operating a city-run composting program, but it proved infeasible. The city commission approved a contract with CompostNow at its April 6 meeting.
