AAPI heroes the focus of new a coloring book, art installation and documentary

Kavi Vu, an artist, community organizer and leader of the AAPI Heritage Month Celebration, says the goal of the ABC’s of AAPIs Coloring Book is to advance the representation of the Asian American community.

“This project has a big job, so you know, we hope that it can help someone slow down and feel some joy during a hectic day that’s for children and adults,” said Vu.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,”Vu and Aisha Yaqoob Mahmood, the executive director of the Asian American Advocacy Fund talked with program host Rose Scott more about the coloring book, a new 160-foot art exhibition and documentary that features key Asian figures in history.
