In the “Great American Songbook,” some of the cheekiest lyrics and most memorable melodies come from two songwriters who, together, penned some immortal classics of their age.
“Accentuate the Positive: The Music of Arlen and Mercer” is a new musical revue from the Flying Carpet Theatre Company, premiering as part of the Levison Family Music Series at the Breman Museum in Atlanta on June 8.
Adam Koplan, Flying Carpet Theatre Company founder and artistic director and director of performing arts at the Westminster schools, and Leslie Gordon, executive director at Breman, joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to discuss the show and the Levison Family Music Series.
