Over the weekend, Elizabeth Warren announced her candidacy for president in 2020.

The U.S. Democratic senator from Massachusetts is now planning a trip to Georgia. As part of a tour she’s doing across several states, Warren will be in the Peach State on Saturday.

It’s for “an organizing event” at Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville.

Georgia is seen as a potential battleground state for the 2020 presidential election.

Warren joins four other female lawmakers who have announced their bid for president. They include Amy Klobuchar, the U.S. Democratic senator from Minnesota, who also announced her bid over the weekend.

Kamala Harris, the U.S. Democratic senator from California, is also running.

She’s stumped for some big Georgia names before, like Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.

And, they could return the favor.
