Wednesday marks 50 years since the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

There are remembrance events all around Atlanta all day, including silent tours of King’s birth home and a ceremony inside the old Ebenezer Baptist Church.

But WABE’s Rose Scott has been looking back at King’s life and legacy for months for a project called ATL ’68.

She’s spoken with people close to King and people influenced by him, looking back and looking forward.

Scott joined Denis O’Hayer on “Morning Edition” to discuss the project.
