The Atlanta Chinese Dance Company’s new production explores self-discovery and identity. The production is called the Ribbon Dance of Empowerment, and it intertwines Chinese dance, history and culture.
The goal of the dance is to teach others about identity, belonging, and self-acceptance. The Ribbon Dance of Empowerment will be performed on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Infinite Energy Center in Duluth.
Kerry Lee is the co-artistic director of the Atlanta Chinese Dance Company. She joined “City Lights” to talk about the importance of this production.
