On the “City Lights” series “Speaking of Comedy,” Atlanta’s funniest locals share insights on the perks and perils of their profession. This edition features comedian Damon Sumner.
Sumner first got into comedy because a stranger asked him if he ever thought about it while he was hanging out with a friend. “… to be honest, I never thought about stand up… as a job, as a career, but me and my homie, we signed up for an open mic at the Laughing Skull back in 2010, and literally the rest is history….”
Sumner likes to perform comedy at The Laughing Skull, ASW and Village Theater, to name a few. His debut comedy album, “I Know Who I Am,” came out last year and is available on streaming platforms.
