Approaching her one-year mark on the job, Lisa Gordon, Atlanta’s Chief Operating Officer, says it’s a fantastic opportunity to work with Atlanta Mayor Ande Dickens— and says she’s fully committed to being engaged with the community.

“The goal of the COO is to make sure the tools, resources people and processes are in place so that we can provide the best service to our citizens and businesses and anyone coming to our city,” said Gordon on Thursday’s edition of Closer Look

During the conversation, Gordon spoke about her role as COO and her efforts to tackle homelessness, affordable housing and several other issues.

“The most important voice is the people in the community,” said Gordon.

Gordon further talked about the city’s plan to build a $90 million Atlanta Public Safety Training Center at the site of a former Georgia state prison farm.
