Atlanta has received more rain in the first eight months of 2013 than it normally gets for an entire year.
As of Sunday, the National Weather Service in Peachtree City says Atlanta received more than 50.43 inches of rain. National Weather Service meteorologist, Brian Lynn, says the amount is almost ¾ of an inch above what it usually receives for a full year.
