A gathering of some of the world’s most talented classical organists will take place soon in Atlanta, with a distinguished panel celebrating the achievements of the next generation.
The Elizabeth B. Stephens International Organ Competition will bring six finalists from all over the world to Atlanta’s Peachtree Road United Methodist Church to perform in a recital for the judges and possibly take home the big prize. The finalist’s recitals are free and open to the public throughout the day on June 19.
Joining Lois Reitzes on “City Lights” is the competition organizer Sally Westmoreland to share more about this assembly of talent around what many call the “king of instruments.”
