Atlanta’s Alexander Hawkins opened the micro-sized contemporary gallery, Hawkins HQ, in a small space just south of Lakewood last summer. The 419-square-foot gallery has already hosted multiple exhibitions and art sales in its short existence.
Currently on view at the gallery through April 20 is “Shrine,” a new exhibition from Mexican-born, Atlanta-based visual artist and printmaker Sergio Suárez.
Both Hawkins and Suárez joined WABE’s Kim Drobes on Monday’s edition of “City Lights” to discuss the space and art bringing more life to Atlanta.
