As the year celebrating 50 years of hip-hop begins to wind down, WABE’s “Morning Edition” talked to Georgia’s Grammy award-winning producer Dallas Austin, who is deeply rooted in its history.

Originally from Columbus, Georgia, Austin helped produce the pop-up museum at Underground Atlanta, The Hip-Hop Experience.

Portraits featuring iconic faces were plastered over the walls from top to bottom, telling a story that Austin says can’t be forgotten.
