Attorney Tells WABE Dr. Beverly Hall Will Turn Herself In “In Next Few Hours”

In a new development, J. Thomas Morgan, the attorney for former Atlanta school superintendent Dr. Beverly Hall, told WABE’s Denis O’Hayer that Dr. Hall will turn herself in to officials at the Fulton County Jail “in the next few hours.”

The interview with Morgan, a former DeKalb County district attorney, aired on WABE at 5:44 PM, and the audio of that interview is now online.

Prosecutors had initially recommended a bail bond of $7.5 million for Dr. Hall, but apparently the amount has been negotiated down to $200,000.  Several of the accused teachers and administrators in this case have negotiated bail bonds that are much lower than originally recommended.
