The play tells the story of Barbara Jean, owner of a diner in a small town and centers around the lives of the different customers that come to visit. Throughout the play, we get a window into the hearts of everyday people, and the typical gossip that surrounds ordinary life in a small southern town. The play features a wealth of different music, ranging from folk to country to contemporary.

Actor Chloe Kay plays Barbara along with all of the different customers we meet throughout the production. Kay joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes along with associate artistic director Justin Anderson to talk about the play and Aurora Theatre’s latest line-up of digital content.
