Comedian, actor and self-described “hero living somewhere in Massachusetts,” Eugene Mirman, has probably facilitated some big belly laughs that you might not even know you should thank him for. He’s the longtime voice of Gene Belcher in the beloved animated series “Bob’s Burgers.”
However, there’s much more to this quirky, funny man. His live stand-up shows became the foundation of a vibrant comedy community. The Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival ran for 10 years and helped support the breakout careers of Kristen Schaal, Reggie Watts, and others.
Now, he’s bringing his hilarious live stand-up to Atlanta for “An Evening of Whimsy and Mild Grievances.” The show is on May 3 at Terminal West. Mirman joined “City Lights” managing producer Kim Drobes to share a bit of whimsy ahead of the show.
