Camaraderie, Aggression and Sex: Wabi Sabi at the Woodruff

Wabi Sabi is the Atlanta Ballet’s dancer-driven, modern dance troupe. They will be giving a free performance at the Woodruff Arts Center on Friday evening using the High Museum’s “Mi Casa, Your Casa” exhibit as the stage.

One of the the dances they’ll be featuring was choreographed by the head of San Francisco’s Post: Ballet company and former Atlanta Ballet student Robert Dekkers. He’s known for pushing the boundaries of ballet. Dekkers joined us in our studios for a conversation with WABE’s Myke Johns about the sociological ideas behind the dance.
