Kathleen Bertrand remembers her brothers pounding on the bathroom door, shouting, “Mama, tell her to get out!” What they didn’t realize was that the bathroom had become her personal stage. At eight or nine years old, Bertrand was already giving full concerts — just for herself.
She recalls the first song that truly stayed with her: “It’s All in the Game,” the Tommy Edwards classic she heard while riding in the car with her father.
“Something about that song,” she told “Closer Look” host Rose Scott, “simply took hold.”
