When you think of the typical children’s book, you may think “once upon a time” and “happily ever after.” Katherine Applegate‘s latest book “Sometimes You Fly” however, focuses on failure.
She is the author of many young adult and middle grade books and won the Newberry Medal for her book “The One And Only Ivan.”
“We celebrate milestones,” she tells City Lights host Lois Reitzes, “but we often forget to celebrate all the effort that goes into those milestones.”
