Griselys “G” Fermin and Hurl Taylor are among the two latest graduates from Emory’s Goizueta Business School.

Fermin — the founder of an inclusive streetwear brand called Studded, earned a degree in business. While, Taylor, 86, is an Army veteran, attorney, and now a proud recipient of his ninth academic degree — a master’s in Business for Veterans. Taylor also has the distinction of being Emory University’s eldest graduate.

For the Class of 2025 graduation series on “Closer Look,” Fermin and Taylor talked candidly with show host Rose Scott about their academic journeys and their work as it relates to representation and service.
