DECATUR, Ga. — Tensions boiled over during the City Schools of Decatur board meeting on March 10 as board members Lorraine Irier and Tracey Anderson cited several transparency issues within the district in recent months.

Irier suggested that discussions are happening outside public school board meetings.

“In my first two months on the board, I have observed several instances where positions attributed to the board appeared to develop outside public deliberation,” Irier said.
