DECATUR, Ga. — Decatur Schools Board Chair Carmen Sulton doubled down on her insistence that the board has been transparent in its handling of a potential school closure and the construction of an early childhood learning center.
The comments left many of the board’s critics frustrated.
Sulton pushed back on critics during her monthly chair report during the Jan. 13 School Board meeting. Records uncovered by an advocacy group recently came to light and showed the board’s private statements contradicted its public message about the two issues.
