Decide DeKalb, the county’s economic development arm, approved almost $1 million for development of the South Peachtree Creek Trail.

It’s using the $951,600 award to build out two segments of the trail near North Druid Hills Road. Tiffany Wills, the vice president of redevelopment and strategic initiatives with Decide DeKalb, said it’s a big step for an important connectivity project.

“South Peachtree Creek, essentially has been, over the last 10 to 20 years, has been really fragmented, and there have been a lot of informal trails, or where you have individuals that have kind of just established these trailways based off of the topography of the area,” Wills said.
