DeKalb County officials are investing in the local arts community by establishing the DeKalb Council for the Arts.
The new nine-person arts council will function like an advisory board for arts and culture development throughout the county.
Officials say the council will contribute to the goal of creating a stronger creative ecosystem by guiding and supporting creative initiatives, plus providing opportunities for local artists.
