The DeKalb County Public Library recently partnered with the American Library Association to receive a federal grant highlighting Muslim culture.

The grant provides seven DeKalb branches with 25 books, three films, and additional resources.

Janet Florence is the Public Information Officer for DeKalb County Public Library.

“The Muslim community is very complex and often misunderstood, so we were eager to do programming about this and gather more resources about this particular community.”

The grant comes from the National Endowment for the Humanities. And the program will continue into the fall.
