Digital Citizens Educational Development
WABE’s Educational Mission is to encourage the growth and development of public media for educational and cultural purposes. Our proposed approach is to increase media literacy with initiatives relevant to the educational needs of Metro Atlanta students and beyond and to serve as an educational resource.
We’ve partnered with national, proven, award-winning digital curriculum provider Common Sense Education to implement their Digital Citizenship curriculum with in and out-of-school, youth centered organizations. We’ve supplemented and extended the Common Sense curriculum by creating opportunities for students to create content and host community conversations around digital well-being. These tactics allow students to play an active role in their social-emotional learning and overall well-being.
