The Economics of Dracula – John Edgar Browning on Monsters in Our Culture

Scary movies are in season with Halloween just a day away. As people dim the lights and pop in their favorite horror movies looking for a good scare, we wondered why we’re so fascinated by movie monsters and, in particular, vampires. Thankfully, we have an expert here in town: John Edgar Browning is the Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Literature, Media and Communication at Georgia Tech, and he is a scholar of vampires. He sat down with WABE’s Myke Johns to talk about what is behind those things that go bump in the night.
