Election Officials Announce Recount in Atlanta City Council Race

Fulton and DeKalb County elections officials announced they will conduct a recount for Council Post 1.

There will be a recount in an Atlanta City Council race.
Fulton and DeKalb County elections officials announced Wednesday that they will conduct a recount Friday morning for Council Post 1.
That’s an at-large post.
The Election Day count had Courtney English at 40,714 votes and incumbent Michael Julian Bond at 41,079 votes, a difference of 375 votes.
English called for the recount.
The race for City Council president will be settled by a runoff election on Dec. 5 between Alex Wan and Felicia Moore.
There will also be run-offs in Council Districts 4 and 9. In District 4, incumbent Cleta Winslow will face Jason Dozier to try and keep her seat. In District 9, Kwame Abernathy will face Dustin Hillis.
