The national nonprofit The Conservation Fund launched the Farms Fund program in 2021 to address food insecurity.
On Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Krisztian Varsa, the Georgia Farms Fund program manager, and Raphaela Ysrael, a farmer with Atlanta Harvest, talk with show host Rose Scott about the program.
They also discussed how the program protects threatened farms near cities by offering a new generation of diverse farmers an affordable way to buy farmland.
