Mysterious creatures have taken up residence in the beautiful forests surrounding Fernbank Museum. A new exhibition in Fernbank’s WildWoods area, “Forest Forms,” features the larger-than-life metal sculptures by Atlanta artist Huelani Mei. They include a family of foxes, flowers, rabbits, and a snake archway. The outdoor experience is on view at Fernbank through September 29th.
“City Lights” producer Summer Evans spoke with Mei and Fernbank Museum’s VP of programming and collections, Bobbi Hohmann.
“We love WildWoods just like we love Fernbank Forest, but they’re two different spaces,” Hohmann said. “WildWoods is accessible immediately behind the museum, you access it from the terrace. It’s 10 acres of sloping kind of woodland area so we do sometimes have challenges installing outdoor exhibitions.”
