What does it mean to be compassionate? Also, how do you create compassionate organizations, schools, businesses, churches and communities? In other words, how do you establish an ecosystem of compassion?

These are all questions that visitors can explore at this year’s 4th annual CompassionCon. The one-day festival is being held on Sunday, Oct. 26, at Legacy Park in Decatur.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” program host Rose Scott talks with the co-directors of Compassionate Atlanta, Leanne Rubenstein and Iyabo Onipede. They talked more about the event, described as a fusion between conference and festival. They also talked about their nonprofit’s ongoing efforts to champion compassion across Georgia.
