Fulton County Is Largest Public Arts Funder In Georgia

The largest funder of the arts in Georgia is not the state government, but Fulton County.

Founded in 1979, Fulton County Arts and Culture operates on a $5 million annual budget, with $1.9 million delivered through arts services at five Fulton arts centers. FCAC Director Lionell Thomas and Deputy Director Emmitt Stevenson joined Lois Reitzes on “City Lights” to discuss arts funding and current opportunities available to residents.
