Gainesville Community Activist Discusses Vaccinations, Combating COVID-19

According to the Georgia Department of Health, Hall County is one of the top five counties in Georgia with the most confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Earlier this week, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp met with state and local leaders in Gainesville, which is in Hall County, to discuss the challenges the Hispanic community is facing in combating the virus.
Maria del Rosario Palacios, a Gainesville community activist and COVID-19 survivor, was a guest on “Closer Look.”
She talked with show host Rose Scott about several coronavirus-related topics, including her family’s recovery from COVID-19, vaccine hesitancy in the Hispanic community and what Gainesville leaders are doing to respond to the health crisis.
