Lissa Corcoran doesn’t have a favorite, but she does admit each horse has its own unique personality.
“I adore Josh for his leadership skills. Chester, I sort of love for his sense of humor,” Corcoran said. “Moose has a personality unlike any of the other horses.”
Since 1996, Flying Change Equine Therapy has been helping children, adults and whole families discover a new way to approach various challenges. Their focus is on emotional and behavioral health, allowing individuals to roam the barn, meet the horses and follow any natural inclination they might have to a particular horse.
With patient referrals from various sources, Corcoran says that learning new skills is especially important with younger clients, when talk therapy may not be as effective.
On today’s edition of “Closer Look,” the team returns to Flying Change Equine Therapy to visit with Corcoran and, of course, the sassy horses.
