Georgia digital driver’s licenses can now be used as a valid form of identification when buying age-restricted purchases, like alcohol or tobacco, at participating stores.
Acceptance of a digital license is up to the retailer.
According to the Georgia Department of Driver Services, a digital driver’s license is meant to be supplemental to a physical one and should not act as a replacement.
