GSU President Responds To Calls For New Policies For Greater Diversity
Georgia State University President Dr. Mark Becker joined “Closer Look” today to responds to a recent letter penned by Black faculty members calling for greater diversity and inclusion.

More than 200 Black faculty at Georgia State University recently penned a letter to university President Dr. Mark Becker.
The coalition is asking for the implementation of new practices and policies to bring about greater diversity and inclusion — specifically, a more diverse faculty.
On a recent edition of “Closer Look,” professors Dr. Elizabeth West and Dr. Jacque-Corey Cormier shared their concerns with host Rose Scott.
Today, on Wednesday’s program, Becker joined the program to discuss the steps he and the university leadership team are taking.
