Homebody” is an online publication created by Atlanta journalist and consultant Jess Graves. Her posts are about making the most of what we have while sheltering-in-place.

“City Lights” producer Summer Evans spoke with Graves about her new website.

“For me, making ‘Homebody’ is about making the best of being stuck at home,” Graves, who has contributed to publications such as The Bitter Southerner, Southern Living, and Atlanta Magazine, said.

Each week, her subscribers get a weekly newsletter on various topics. Graves has covered things such as, “10 ways to take a really decadent bath,” to “making a perfect martini at-home,” to “8 binge-worthy shows you may have missed the first time.” Those weekly topics are then added to the website.

Graves has also started asking her subscribers how they “homebody.” Earlier this week, she spoke with Atlanta model and entrepreneur Jaycina Almond about how she is staying sane through quarantine.

She said making her own website was a great way to help her mental health and to be creative while serving others.

“The whole point for me was to make people feel served, give them something right now rather than asking,” she said.
