Honoring The Late Broadway Legend Jerry Herman

Director Adam Koplan of Flying Carpet Theatre Company joined “City Lights” to discuss Jerry Herman’s legacy and impact.

You may not know the name, Jerry Herman, but it’s likely you’ve heard some of his songs. Herman’s scores for Broadway shows include “Hello, Dolly,” “Mame” and “La Cage aux Folles.”

The composer and lyricist died recently at the age of 88. Over the course of his career, he won two Tony Awards, a Lifetime Achievement honor from the Tonys, and a Kennedy Center Honor.
